Nalan in Chat · Conversational health intelligence

Keep your health context close
in a conversation that feels natural.

Nalan is designed to help people record what they are experiencing, organise health information and prepare better questions for care through convenient, supported chat experiences. Any sensitive-document workflow would hand off into an authenticated Doxyte session.

Planned channel experienceTelegram access is planned. Any future WhatsApp pathway requires written platform and legal confirmation for the approved use case.

Answer first

What is Nalan in Chat?

Nalan in Chat is Doxyte's planned artificial intelligence (AI)-supported health-journal and navigation experience. It is designed to help people capture symptoms, medicines, routines, questions and day-to-day changes in their own words, then organise that information into useful context. It is not a doctor, diagnostic tool or emergency service, and it does not prescribe treatment or continuously monitor emergencies.

An Indian woman at home chooses between WhatsApp, Telegram and Messages in a clean Nalan interface on her smartphone.

One conversation, familiar channels

Choose where the conversation feels most natural.

Nalan is designed to make health journaling feel approachable through supported messaging entry points, while keeping sensitive records and permissioned sharing inside a protected Doxyte experience.

Designed around the workflow

What Nalan can help teams
understand and organise.

Each capability begins as a defined use case with its own data, validation, permissions and review requirements. Release status is confirmed during discovery.

01Personal health journal

Say it in your own words.

Record symptoms, routines, medicine experiences and questions without forcing each thought into a clinical form. Guided prompts can help add useful dates and context.

  • Guided check-ins
  • Editable entries
  • User-controlled sharing
02Longitudinal context

Carry the story across days, not just messages.

With appropriate permission, Nalan can organise related entries into a clearer timeline so changes are easier to recall and discuss.

  • Dates and patterns
  • Source-aware context
  • Permissioned history
03Care preparation

Arrive with better questions.

Turn selected journal entries into a concise, editable summary of concerns, observations and questions to discuss with a qualified healthcare professional.

04Responsible handoff

Make the human route visible.

When a request needs clinical judgement or falls outside the supported experience, Nalan can guide the user toward an appropriate professional or configured care-team pathway.

Safety boundaryNalan is not an emergency service and should never delay urgent, in-person care.
05Consent and safety

Nothing moves without a clear choice.

The planned experience starts with an accessible privacy notice and a stated purpose. Saving, exporting or sharing health information requires a deliberate action, with controls for retention, deletion and withdrawal where supported.

  • Explicit, revocable permission
  • Minimum necessary data
  • Authenticated document handoff
Consent ruleSensitive documents would move to an authenticated Doxyte session rather than remain in a general messaging thread.
06ABHA and ABDM

Choose which records to share, with whom and for how long.

Where a supported ABDM pathway is available, an individual can use an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) to discover, link, view and share selected records through an ABDM-enabled personal health record experience.

  • Record selection
  • Recipient choice
  • Consent duration
  • Revocation
ABDM consent ruleABHA does not give Nalan or a clinician automatic access to every health record.

Conversation with boundaries

Useful enough to return to. Clear enough to trust.

A health conversation should make the person more prepared without pretending that a chatbot can replace a clinician. The planned design combines clear AI identification, explicit and revocable permission, minimum-necessary collection, an authenticated handoff for sensitive records and a visible route to human care.

01

Artificial intelligence (AI) is clearly identified

People should always know when they are interacting with Nalan and what the selected workflow can do.

02

Minimum necessary context

Collect only the information required for the chosen journal, record or navigation purpose.

03

The user chooses what moves

Saving, exporting or sharing supported information begins with a clear user action.

04

Clinical boundaries remain visible

Nalan organises information and general guidance; diagnosis and treatment stay with qualified professionals.

05

Sensitive records use a protected handoff

A general chat can guide the person into an authenticated Doxyte session for supported document or record workflows.

06

Deletion and withdrawal are part of the experience

Supported releases should explain retention, provide relevant deletion controls and let a person withdraw permission for future processing.

A governed path to production

Start with the use case.
Keep every handoff visible.

01

Choose a supported channel

Begin inside Doxyte or through an approved messaging entry point. Telegram access is planned; WhatsApp is not currently available.

02

Confirm permission

Explain what is being collected, why it is needed and how it may be used.

03

Capture context

Record observations, questions and permitted health information in everyday language.

04

Review the summary

Edit the journal entry, timeline or care-ready summary before it is saved.

05

Share deliberately

Let the person decide whether to keep, export or share supported information.

06

Stay in control

Review saved information and use supported retention, deletion or consent-withdrawal controls.

Governance is a product capability

Designed for accountable intelligence.

These boundaries guide product design and discovery. The final controls must be validated for the organisation, population, workflow and applicable obligations before production use.

01

Explicit participation

The user sees when AI is involved and what each workflow is intended to do.

02

Minimum necessary data

The experience is scoped to the selected purpose instead of collecting context by default.

03

User-controlled sharing

Sharing should be clear, reversible where supported and limited to the chosen information.

04

Medical and emergency boundary

Nalan does not diagnose, prescribe or provide continuous emergency monitoring.

Questions, answered plainly

Before Nalan enters the workflow.

What can Nalan in Chat help me do?

It is designed to help you record health observations, organise personal context and prepare questions or summaries for care. Available functions will depend on the release and channel.

Where will Nalan's chat experience be available?

The messaging experience is in development and Telegram access is planned. Nalan is not currently available on WhatsApp; any future pathway requires written platform and legal confirmation for the approved use case.

Can I upload medical records through a messaging app?

A future channel could guide a person into an authenticated Doxyte session for sensitive document upload rather than keep the document inside a general messaging flow. Channel handling, security and availability will be documented for each release.

Can Nalan diagnose a health condition or prescribe medicine?

No. Nalan helps organise information and general guidance. Diagnosis, treatment and prescribing remain the responsibility of qualified healthcare professionals.

Can I share a Nalan journal with my doctor?

Supported workflows may allow an individual to export or share selected information. This should happen only through an explicit user action and appropriate permission.

What should I do if I may be having a medical emergency?

Do not wait for a chat response. Contact appropriate local emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional immediately.
