Agreement and scope
These Terms describe the use of Doxyte Patient, including its personal health record (PHR), health journal and related features (the “Patient service”). Doxyte is a product and business under incorporation in India (“Doxyte”, “we”, “us” or “our”). The proposed company name is Doxyte Healthcare Private Limited. The proposed company is not represented as incorporated by these Terms. Nalan on WhatsApp is currently in controlled testing and is not yet available for patient use.
The exact incorporated identity, Corporate Identity Number and registered-office address will be added after incorporation. When the Patient service is made available to you, by accepting these Terms you request the processing needed to provide it and confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. The Doxyte Patient Privacy Notice separately explains how Doxyte processes personal data.
Who may use the Patient service
The first real-data pilot is invitation-only. The first pilot does not support public registration, accounts for minors, guardian-managed accounts, representatives or use on behalf of another person. Do not create an account for someone else or let another person use your identity.
- You are at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms
- You create and use the account for yourself
- The invitation and identity details associated with the account are accurate
- You enter patient information only when Doxyte has explicitly enabled the service for that purpose
What Doxyte Patient provides
Doxyte Patient lets you maintain a longitudinal health journal, upload and organize health documents, receive eligible records from a clinic, review selected AI-assisted organization, and share selected information with a clinic when those features are enabled.
Your Patient PHR is separate from a clinic’s electronic medical record. Information validly sent between them retains its source and may exist as independently retained copies.
Not medical or emergency care
Doxyte Patient is an information organization and sharing service. Doxyte does not practise medicine, diagnose, prescribe treatment, monitor you continuously or replace a qualified healthcare professional.
Do not use Doxyte Patient for an emergency or wait for a response through the service. If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service or seek urgent in-person medical care.
Do not start, stop or change medicine or treatment solely because of information organized or displayed by Doxyte Patient.
Nalan and AI-assisted features
Nalan may help organize selected information you provide. Approved providers may also assist with document extraction or another requested feature. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading. It is not a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, medical reassurance or emergency assessment.
Review AI-assisted output before saving or sharing it. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. Doxyte selects providers server-side under approved policy; you may not send real patient information to an unapproved provider through Doxyte or assume that a failed request will be sent to another provider.
The current service does not authorize Doxyte-owned or provider model training on your Patient content. Active provider details will be available at doxyte.com/subprocessors.
When enabled, WhatsApp is an optional third-party channel for talking with Nalan. You must accept the first-use health-data notice before companion processing begins. You may send STOP to opt out and, when linked, use the offered unlink action to remove the channel link. Linking requires an authenticated action in Doxyte and does not by itself open, share or change a health record. Only a journal entry you explicitly review and confirm is saved into your durable Patient history.
WhatsApp does not change the medical and emergency limitations above. Do not wait for Nalan or WhatsApp in an emergency, and do not treat a message, follow-up question or summary as a clinician’s assessment.
The initial WhatsApp feature responds to conversations you initiate. It does not include proactive health outreach, reminders or monitoring. Any future business-initiated messaging requires a separate enabled feature, the applicable notice and opt-in, and any required approved template.
Your account responsibilities
You remain responsible for deciding what patient-authored information to enter or share. A health journal entry records what you reported; it is not automatically verified by a clinician.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it current
- Protect your credentials and authentication factors
- Use a phone number and WhatsApp account you control, protect the device and chat, and promptly unlink or report a lost or compromised device
- Use only your own account
- Review the clinic identity and selected records before confirming a share
- Distinguish your observations from information issued by a clinic or laboratory
- Report suspected unauthorized access promptly through security@doxyte.com
Your content and record history
You retain your rights in information and documents you submit, subject to applicable rights in third-party material. You authorize Doxyte to host, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Patient service and meet applicable legal obligations.
Doxyte preserves clinically meaningful longitudinal history and provenance while the Patient service purpose continues. Corrections to your authored health history may preserve the earlier value, what changed, when and by whom so that the timeline remains understandable.
A record issued by a clinic cannot be silently rewritten through the Patient service. You may hide it from ordinary personal view, mark it disputed or request correction from the originating clinic without altering the clinic-issued source.
Sharing with clinics
You choose the records included in a share and the receiving clinic. Review the selected package and recipient before confirming.
Revoking a share stops covered future access where technically and legally possible. It does not erase a copy already validly received and incorporated into a clinic’s record. Closing your Patient account also does not delete a clinic’s validly retained record.
Doxyte does not guarantee how an independent clinic will respond to information you share. The clinic’s care and record handling are governed by its own terms, notice and professional duties.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Impersonate another person or create a false identity or rights request
- Access another person’s account or health information without lawful authority
- Upload malware, unlawfully obtained material or content you are not authorized to process
- Use the service to harass, deceive, threaten or violate another person’s rights
- Scrape, probe, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the service except where a right cannot lawfully be restricted
- Place health information in an unapproved support or feedback channel
- Represent Nalan or another AI output as clinician-verified when it is not
- Use the service for advertising, insurance underwriting, clinical-trial matching or model development unless a separate future feature and permission process has been approved
Privacy and security
The Doxyte Patient Privacy Notice explains the personal data processed, purposes, recipients, retention and rights routes.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and credentials, review shares carefully, and notify Doxyte promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not send health information to privacy@doxyte.com unless Doxyte’s request process specifically asks for the minimum information needed to handle your case securely.
Availability, changes and support
Doxyte will use reasonable care to operate the Patient service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not promised. Maintenance, security events, provider failures and factors outside Doxyte’s reasonable control may interrupt features.
Keep copies of information you may urgently need and use direct clinical or emergency channels when appropriate. Doxyte may make non-material product changes during the pilot. Material changes to purposes, record lifecycle, AI processing or these Terms require appropriate notice and renewed acceptance where required.
Support route: info@doxyte.com. This is a direct path to human support for account, channel and safety issues. Do not include health records or sensitive content in ordinary support email; Doxyte will direct you to an approved restricted channel if needed. Support is not emergency or clinical care.
Fees and usage limits
The initial pilot’s pricing has not been decided. Doxyte will not impose a new fee merely through these Terms. Any fee, included AI credit, usage limit, billing period or payment obligation must be clearly communicated and accepted before it applies.
Refusing a future paid offering will not alter a clinic’s independently retained record. Before a paid Patient feature is introduced, Doxyte must provide the price, payment, cancellation and refund terms required for that offering.
Doxyte may apply reasonable technical or safety limits disclosed in the service, including limits needed to protect security, provider capacity or responsible pilot operation.
Suspension and account closure
Doxyte may suspend an account or affected capability where reasonably necessary to contain a security incident, prevent unauthorized access, comply with law, protect users or address a material breach. Where appropriate, Doxyte will explain the reason and limit the scope and duration of suspension.
Account deactivation stops access but does not start deletion. To close your account, submit a verified closure request through doxyte.com/privacy/requests. Doxyte will offer an export and place the account into a 30-calendar-day recoverable closure period. After that period, Doxyte removes your PHR from active service and erases it where legally permitted. Restricted compliance evidence and rolling recovery copies expire under the separate schedules in the Patient Privacy Notice.
Closing your Patient account does not delete a clinic’s validly retained record. Provisions about record provenance, privacy, intellectual property, dispute handling and terms that by their nature should survive will continue after closure.
Doxyte materials and feedback
Doxyte and its licensors retain their rights in the software, interface, documentation, trademarks and service materials. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Patient service for your personal health-information purposes.
If you voluntarily provide general feedback that contains no health or confidential information, Doxyte may use it to improve the service. Do not place health information in product feedback.
Third-party services
The Patient service depends on approved hosting, identity, security and AI providers. Their role is limited to the applicable service purpose and governed by Doxyte’s provider arrangements. When you choose the WhatsApp channel, Meta and WhatsApp also transmit messages and delivery events under their applicable terms and notices. The current Doxyte provider list will be available at doxyte.com/subprocessors.
Clinics, laboratories, emergency services and websites reached outside Doxyte are independent services governed by their own terms and notices. Doxyte is not responsible for their independent clinical decisions or record obligations, but this does not reduce Doxyte’s responsibility for Doxyte’s own service.
Disclaimers and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, the Patient service is provided for the described pilot scope and is subject to the medical, AI, availability and third-party limitations in these Terms. Doxyte does not guarantee that AI output, patient-authored information or third-party documents are accurate, complete or suitable for a medical decision.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, waives a right under applicable consumer or data-protection law, or limits a healthcare professional’s independent duty to you. These Terms intentionally do not invent a monetary liability cap before qualified legal review and the relevant commercial decision.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India. The competent-forum provision will be finalized after incorporation and qualified legal review. Nothing in these Terms removes any right to approach a competent consumer commission, the Data Protection Board or another authority where applicable law permits it.
Before starting formal proceedings, please first use the applicable support or grievance route, except where urgent relief or applicable law allows otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
Doxyte will keep the version and effective date of these Terms available. Material changes will be notified before they apply and will require renewed acceptance where appropriate. Earlier versions and acceptance evidence will be preserved.
